Charles G. Gomez Senior Attorney
Charles G. Gomez is a senior trial attorney with 19 years as a practicing attorney. He left his solo private practice as outside general counsel to a number of Los Angeles property management, real estate brokerage and engineering firms to join Gomez Law, APC. As general counsel, Charles applied all of his legal experience to provide counsel to his clients on all aspects of their business, from real estate litigation and transactions, to malpractice and employment disputes, and regulatory issues. Charles began his practice in eminent domain, inverse condemnation, and construction defect law, then branched out to better serve his clients.
Charles is a strong advocate for veterans, spending 12 years supervising a free legal clinic for veterans at the West Los Angeles V.A. Through his work there, Charles helped hundreds of veterans obtain the knowledge and confidence they needed to apply for and obtain well-deserved benefits, expunge records, find housing, improve their credit, negotiate child visitation rights, and resolve a wide range of other issues to improve the quality of their lives.
Charles was lead counsel in a published federal opinion, Ruvalcaba v. Ocwen, regarding the fiduciary responsibilities of a title company acting as a sub-escrow in a real estate transaction. Charles has also authored an article on attorney ethics, which was accepted for publication by the California State Bar in its legal journal, California Lawyer.
